Deltech Holdings, LLC, a leading producer of high-performance aromatic monomers, speciality crystalline polystyrene and downstream acrylic resins, will take over production of DuPont Divinylbenzene (DVB) . The move is in line with Deltech's expertise in service coatings, composites, construction and other end markets, and further expands its product portfolio by adding DVB.
Dupont's decision to stop DVB production is part of a broader strategy to focus on downstream applications. As part of the agreement, Dupont will transfer intellectual property and other key assets to Deltech to ensure a seamless transition. The transfer will enable Deltech to continue to provide dupont and its customers with a reliable source of divinylbenzene, maintain the supply chain and support ongoing customer demand.
This protocol provides Deltech with an important opportunity to leverage its expertise and extensive experience in DVB production. By taking over the line from dupont, Deltech can expand its customer base and increase its presence in key markets such as coatings, composites and construction, where demand for high-performance materials is growing. This strategic expansion enables Deltech to offer a broader range of products to customers in these attractive end markets, thereby consolidating its position as a leading supplier of specialty chemical solutions, and support its long-term growth goals.
Jesse Zeringue, Deltech's president and chief executive, welcomed the New Deal as a significant step forward in the growth of Deltech's unit. He stressed the importance of working with dupont and their commitment to meeting Dupont's demand for divinylbenzene (DVB) while ensuring uninterrupted service to all customers. The partnership reflects Deltech's commitment to expanding its capabilities and maintaining strong customer relationships.
